You have told us signature mismatches takes extra time for you to sort out. One step we’ve taken to fix this is the introduction of SMS alerts to clients for requests made through FirstNet. This enables us to streamline the way we process requests submitted through FirstNet Adviser, which significantly reduces signature mismatches and support calls you receive and reduces delays.
SMS alerts will let your FirstChoice clients know when a particular transaction has been requested, so if there are any concerns, or your client is unaware of the request, they can reach out to you.
The forms submitted through FNA that we'll send SMS alerts for are:
- Withdrawals to a new bank account,
- Updates to their bank account details,
- New ASFs or increases to existing ASFs,
- Requests to appoint a Power of Attorney, and
- Requests to transfer or accept units.
We recommend you ask your clients to keep an eye out for these new text alerts and check their mobile details are up to date. Text alerts start from June this year.
