Earlier in his career, Gerard was involved in every major decision. Over time, he realised that true scale requires something different: systems, processes, and empowered people. "The business needs to be able to run autonomously to a degree." 
 
That belief has shaped the way he has built his business. 
 
Investments in workflows, systems and processes have created consistency for clients and confidence for team members. "The biggest improvements for us are in the workflows, the systems and the processes." The result is a stronger business and a better client experience. 
 
As the business evolved, Gerard also sought partners who understood what he was trying to achieve.
