MFA is a simple and effective way to give you and your clients an extra layer of protection against unauthorised access, fraud and scams, on top of the range of fraud and IT security controls already in place in FirstChoice.
It’s fast and simple; when you log into FirstNet or call us, a one-time pin code (OTP) will be sent to you via text message or an authenticator app, using the mobile number on your account.
When you log into FirstNet: You’ll be prompted to enter the OTP, after you enter your username and password.
When you call us: A contact centre representative will ask you to read out the OTP to them.
This process is designed to enhance the security of client information while minimising disruption to your experience.
See how to set up new FirstNet logins and update contact details in FirstNet.
If you’re not prepared for MFA when it comes into effect, you may not be able to access FirstNet or discuss client account information with our contact centre.
You can find questions and answers on MFA here.
We’ll be in touch over the coming months to ensure you’re ready for this extra layer of protection.
If you have any questions, you can call us on 13 18 36 or contact your local Business Development Team.
For adviser services contact us 8:30am - 6pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday.
